Lesson 4 The alphabeth n pronounced as n in English å When saying "Oh!" in English, you kind of start with the å sound and then change it into u. Put your mouth as if you had a hot potato in your mouth, (it had to come sooner or later :) ) meaning that you should take the tongue back in your mouth and make your lips round. så (saw) When saying this word you have to quickly move your tongue. For the s-sound you need the tip of your tongue in the front of the mouth. When it has to be followed by the å you just move the tongue slightly backwards when saying it. (You actually make a move too when pronouncing "say" in English, but the move for "så" is ofcourse different) Remember to say it short. Only knock once in the table for a short word like this. Same goes as for this word: nå (reach) en (a, one) The e is here pronounced as an e surprisingly enough! (ie. a Danish "e") A name can we also form: åse (Should ofcourse be with a capital å (A with a circle) but couldn't find it on this Israeli computer) The e is pronounced as the e in spise and side. (å-se) Everytime an e is in the end of the word it is pronounced in this way. A sentence about åse: åse så en si! (åse saw a sieve)
